Driving Directions

From Downtown St. John’s 139 km. Approx 1hr 50min.

Begin by heading SW on New Gower Street. It turns into Route 2. Continue North on Route 2 14.5 km.

Take the Trans Canada Highway West exit toward Clarenville/Gander. Merge onto TCH/Route 1 West. Follow for 51.1 km.

Take Exit 31 for Route 70 toward Route 75 Veteran’s Memorial Highway – Bay Roberts/Carbonear. Route 70 turns immediately into Route 75 N. Continue on Route 75 N for 36.9 km. Road turns back into Route 70 N when you pass Harbour Grace. Continue straight on Route 70 N 8.5 km. Pass through Carbonear.

Turn right at the Irving Gas Station in Victoria to stay on Route 70 N. (Follow sign for Route-70/Salmon Cove/Old Perlican. Do not stay straight on Route 74 as it will take you to another bay!) Drive 25.6 km and you arrive in Ochre Pit Cove.

Ochre House Retreat is on the left. It is yellow with blue trim and looks like a church. We have no street address!
